FRANCE, SPAIN.

This contiki tour is pretty much what i´ve expected, there are alot of drinking and partying! But hey everyone is having a ball.

We started from London and drove to Paris ( crossing the English Channel on a ferry). We stayed in Paris for 3 nights where I took many pictures of the magnificent Eiffel Tower. We stayed at a camp site just half an hour from Paris.

We then drove down to the Boujouleis Region of France where we stayed at an old Chateu in a Vineyard for 2 nights, relaxing in the pool and enjoying the rolling hills of the vineyards around us. At night there is a club/ bar in the basement of the chateu where everyone drinks and dance the night away.

Today we spent all day driving down here to Barcelona where we are staying at a campsite near a beach. We spent the afternoon at the beach. It was an 11 hour drive.

This photo of the water fountain display in front of the Kings old house (according to Tanya! )was taken the following evening.

LAS VEGAS

I arrived in LA Internatioanl Airport on Friday at 11:30am. I am staying here with my Auntie and Uncle and my cousin (Andrew P.) in Anaheim.
On Saturday, Andrew and I drove to Las Vegas. It was a 5hour drive with at times heavy traffic through the dessert. Las Vegas is celebrating their Centenary this month so it was quite busy. We stayed for the night, enjoying the sights and sounds of Las Vegas Boulavard before returning yesterday evening.
I will be staying here till Thursday where I will then catch catch a 10 hour flight to London via Frankfurt to kick start my European trip.

The awesome dancing water fountain display in front of the Bellagio Hotel ends with water being spouted at up to 100ft high. Choreographed with lights and music the show is an amazing spectacle free to all to see.

KISSIMMEE.

No, I dont want you to kiss me! this is the place where I'm at- its where Disney World is just next to Orlando. I arrived here at around 4:30pm from Miami. i am here to check out Universal Studios, a Disney World park and maybe the JFK Space Center. I have been also thinking wether to continue my planned train trip from here to Houston and then Houston to LA or to just catch a plane directly to LA from Orlando International Airport. It all depends on wether I can find some cheap plane tickets.

KEY WEST

This is the southernmost point of continental America at Key West, Florida. Cuba is 9omiles South from here. ( Excuse the water droplet on the lens- it was sprinkling when this photo was taken).

This is Shun and Mayu from Japan ( a couple of crazy but fun people), along with another Aussie Mike and Peter from Mexico we rented this Chrysler Seberling Convertible for a day. Behind them is the Espanola Complex part of which is the Clayhotel where we are staying. This area was used in the filming of The Specialist.

I was the designated driver offcourse! This was yesterday after we picked up the car, behind me is Miami Beach.
We left Miami Beach at 5 in the morning today to Key West - some 450 or so kilometers away. The Florida Keys if you look in an Atlas are a series of islands at the Eastern bottom of the US and are joined up by bridges. It was an amazing drive! With the top down we cruise over the Keys and connecting bridges with one being 7miles long-it was there where the end of the movie "True Lies" was filmed! I wish I could have taken some photos but we were in a rush getting there since we had to be back by 5:30pm to return the car- reminding you that its a 900kms or so round trip. So we cruised all the way with the top down from 5am in the morning when it was still dark! and we got to Key West at around 9am and just as we reach Key West it just started to pour down with rain! We left Key West at 1pm and made it back to Miami at 5pm. This was my first time to drive in America and what better place and what better car! We all felt rich until we had to return it. As for my driving on the different side of the road- well luckilly I had Shun to tell me to drive on the right hand side of the road on at least 2 occasions! But to my credit I think I handled the 6 lane freeways quite well cruising at 80miles per hour at times when the speed limit is only 65- oOpps:)
