What a surprise! This city is awesome, its clean, its big, its by the water (Lake Michigan) and its full of character and history! I'm going to stay here for another night. I 'm suppose to leave tommorow evening but there is just so much to do here. If u've got the blues then this place will make you feel better: )

This little fellow I came across at a park next to the Chicago Arts Museum.
This fountain was featured in an American comedy sitcom can anyone tell me what it is? I'll give you a clue- its shown at the credits of each episode. Anyway its name is Buckingham Fountain. Just behind the red building is offcourse the Sears tower - the building with the highest occupiable floor on Earth and the tallest if you count the antena tower! The observation deck from memory is on the 103rd floor! - thats over 400m high.

Hey Greg, I would love to go to Australia but there is always something unexpected happenings. Either I have school and impossible to miss a class and/or have work that I cannot even take a vacation, until I earn some annual leaves. All I can say is I'll try to visit you guys, someday. I cannot promise anything yet because I don't like to say something and brake it.

Here are few questions for you. Do you stay at the hotel? Is it part of your fare or tourist package? What about the foods? Is it part of it too? What about transportations?
Call my cell during this weekend. I'm off for this first time on Saturday, since I started PO. It's the right timing too, coz I got a chance to attend a party today. Most parties take place on Saturdays. I barely get a chance to attend any parties when I get invited. But for us, we usually give party on Sunday like for my dad.

Wow what a song! I could sort off relate to it (lol) but i'm not that lonely - not yet anyway: ) but thanks- I cant wait to actually hear how it goes, looks like it would have to be when I get to Cali since you wont sing it to me! But to answer some of your questions:
I dont stay in hotels, I stay at hostels which is a lot cheaper but often you have to share a room with between 3 to 7 other people usaually. It ranges from 15 to 35 dollars a night. I have a booklet with a listing of HI (Hostelling International) Hostels. I usually book on the net or just give them a call or just turn up.
I didn't buy a travell package. Basically I bought a 'round the world' airfare for about AU$3200 all up which is Sydney-Hawaii-Vancouver then LA to London then Frankfurt to Manila then back to Sydney so its a good deal.
With food I either eat out or if I have time I buy groceries and cook a wholsesome meal at the hostel i'm staying at which usually have a nice kitchen facility.
For getting about I by a train passes such as a North American Amtrak/VIA Canada Rail Pass for about US$516 which is good for a month. For going around town, since the hostels I stay in are usually in downtown i'm pretty close to all the touristy places and if not I catch the bus or do a guided day tour.
I can get away with a budget of US$70 a day if I dont do anything expensive.

Yeh i saw the building where she lives! I wanted to see if i can get tix to her show (and maybe get a free car or something!) but you have to apply for it then wait up to a year to see if you get one!
