OFF TO DENVER
Onced again i'll be off on the road again. After spending two days here in Salt Lake I think i'm ready to go. Its not a very big town in terms of what you can do, although I would have loved to visit the biggest open pit mine. The mine is for mostly copper and apart from the Great Wall of China it is the only visible man made creation that can be seen from the space shuttle.
Also I didn't actually see the salt lake which is about 30mins away. It is 6 times saltier than the ocean but why?... because it is a dead end lake and water evaporates from it as fast as it flows into it from streams.
Anyway I have a 4am train to catch tommorow morning to Denver so its going to tiring!
By the way today i've been away from OZ for exactly a month! It feels like alot longer though. Although time flies when your travelling.
This is the lounge car of an Amtrak train, it is where I spend most of my time during the day while travelling on the trains. Sometimes I just sit here for hours on end listening to my mp3 music (thanks Maryann for all the cool songs you downloaded) and just watching the endless scenery passing by me. Its absolutely amazing. Sometimes I imagine I'm back in oz and i'm just in a 3D Imax Theater show or something travelling through the US and that if I wanted to I can just step outside and go home! Snow capped mountains, endless icy cold rivers, dessert storms in the dessert, this is some of the scenery you can expect to see, all in one day sometimes!

Hi Greg, I heard you called us and spoke to my mom. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to talk to you. Wow, you must be rich traveling the world. Tell me your complete itinerary. You know my e-mail, right?
You must have a fixed 9 months itineraries set up already, correct? If so what happen when you miss a schedule like a flight? You could have gone here to visit us first from San Francisco, while you were here in Cali, if let say you didn't follow your trip schedules.
I heard you will travel to East Coast then back to West Coast. Let me know if you can come back to Cali by May 20. We have a big celebration.
Hey Andrew P!
Yeh i'm burning some serious cash but hey they're no good in the bank right? Some people buy cars and some people travel- which one do you think would make a better investment?
Yeh I would have love to see u guys first but I have a 30 day North America Rail pass so I have to try and make the most of it. Its quite hectic but its the cheapest way to see alot. My pass expires on the 12th May and after that time I would been to Chicago, Niagra Falls, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec and finally back to America- possibly Boston. And then I'm thinking of buying an East America Rail pass so I can travell all the way down to Miami by May 28th. I will then fly back to Cal to see u guys. I fly out of LA airport on June 15th. Unfortunately I may not make it to CAl by the 20th- but anything can happen! What is happening on the 20th anyway?
The flights is not completely strict as i can still change them. But I also booked some tours in Europe that I cannot change so I have to adhere to a quasi itenary that I have so i budget correctly for each city.
I cant wait to see you Andrew - i cannot ever recall meeting you when we were young so this will be the first time I'll meet you!
Greg.
